KIRKLAND, David - Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Thursday, July 17, 2014. Loving husband to Patti. Cherished father to Steven, Linda (Art), Kevin. Grandfather to Jonathan. Dearest son of Ernie and Marilyn. Beloved brother of Debbie, Rhonda and Larry. Special thanks to Toronto General Hospital, 14th floor staff for all their great care. A Funeral Service will be held at SHERRIN FUNERAL HOME, 873 Kingston Road, Toronto, 416-698-2861, on Monday, July 21st at 4:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior. So sorry to hear about Dave's passing. Seems like it was just yesterday that my Mom, Maureen, was babysitting the kids. She really thought the world of your wonderful family, especially her little Kevin. She always had a special place in her heart for him. Big hugs to all of you.

You might not know me Patti, but Dave has been part of our life here at Trinity. Every morning we look forward seeing him with goodies on his hand, whether a pay stub or a flyer.He carries with him all the time jokes and words of wisdom.He was the one who encouraged me to apply for my OMERS and told me that it it never too late. He was a friend to us specially the morning staff and at one point joined in our Lotto pool with a dream of, if we win we will go on a boat cruise.
Dave you have gone cruising ahead of us, but you will always be part of Trinity.May you rest in peace and I will always pray for the repose of your soul.Patti our deepest condolence and prayers for you and your family.
