LASH, David - Peacefully, on Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at his home with his family by his side. David Lash, beloved son of Paul and Rochelle Lash. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Arnie, and Shari and Arlen Zacks. Devoted uncle of Carly, Maya, Erin, Gabe, and Kyle. At Benjamin's Park Memorial Chapel, 2401 Steeles Avenue West (3 lights west of Dufferin) for service on Thursday, April 29th at 10:00 a.m. Interment, Young Men's Hebrew Association section of Mt. Sinai Memorial Park. Shiva 37 Tofino Crescent, with visits beginning immediately following the interment and continuing daily from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm and evenings after 7:00 pm. Evening service will be held at 8:00 pm. Donations may be made to the David Lash Memorial Fund c/o The Benjamin Foundation, 3429 Bathurst Street, Toronto, M6A 2C3, 416-780-0324, www.benjamins.ca, with donations being directed to The Hospital For Sick Children, The Temmy Latner Palliative Care Centre, and Canadian Cancer Society.

It's always a sad day when you lose a teammate and especially today when I heard the news of Dave's passing.
As members of the Spitfires, we travelled far and wide to play basketball and Dave and I lined up beside each other in many a track or road race throughout the years.
Always humble, always friendly regardless of the outcome, he was a true sportman and a great guy. A fine example of what a Canadian wheelchair athlete strives to be.
My condolences to everyone who's been moved by his passing..........
