1938 - 2023

LATIMER, DAVID NORMAN September 18, 1938 - February 21, 2023 After a well-lived life, Dave passed peacefully, at Trillium Health Partners in Mississauga, in his 85th year. Beloved husband to Elizabeth; loving father to Michael (Nancy), Kathleen, Allana (Tom) and Brad. Dave was a cherished and important grandfather and great-grandfather. He'll be dearly missed by his siblings, Don (Maley), Jim (Inez), Linda and Gary (Gail); and his many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife, Julia. Dave was often a man of few words, a quiet but deep thinker. His strength and generosity were always made available to us. He could be counted on, day or night. Moral and ethical grounding found most in men of his generation. A true supporter of all who had the honour of walking by his side, young and old. Witty, adventurous, hard-working, particular, exacting, loving. We will miss him so. A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, March 4th, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lake Shore Blvd. W., (between Kipling and Islington at Fourteenth St.), followed by a Reception in the lounge. In lieu of flowers, donations to Parkinson Canada, in memory of Dave, would be appreciated by the family. Condolences may be left at www.ridleyfuneralhome.com.
