David MERCURY Obituary

MERCURY, David Auston June 18, 1933 – December 7, 2017 Known for his personality, his zest for life and his amazing sense of humour, David Auston Mercury (Sr.), of Toronto passed away quietly and peacefully in the early hours of December 7, 2017. David befriended everyone he met with his warmth and affable nature. He is already greatly missed. David is survived by his brother Eric and six children from his first marriage to Barbara Roselyn Mercury (nee Thompson), David Jr., Wendi, Terry, Pat, Janice and Joe. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews. From his second marriage to Beverely Mercury he leaves three step-children Danny, Kathy and Michael. A memorial, celebrating David's life will be held at the Guildwood Community Presbyterian Church, 140 Guildwood Parkway, Scarborough, on Saturday, December 16, 2017 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.

I'm so heartbroken. I just found out today about Dave's passing. I'm so sad I missed the service to pass along my condolences to the Mercury family. Dave was selfless, kind and just an amazing person. Even after he moved away from Cultra Square our family still kept in touch over the past decades. I have so many fond memories of Dave. I will miss his infectious laugh, great wit and handsome face. I have attached a photo from the old neighbourhood for the family. Me, Dave & Kelly You will be greatly missed Dave ❤.

Very, very sorry to here of Davids passing. I have known him since he was our neighbor at Cultra Square.He sold me 4 homes over the years. Unfortunately ,for me, those were most of the times I saw him. He was a wonderful man with a terrific sense of humor. His constant laugh was contagious.
Im sure you are all very proud to call him your father.
