DAVID ROEBUCK Obituary

December 27, 1960 - May 11, 2021
It is with profound sadness the Roebucks announce the passing of David L. Roebuck. Dave will be missed by his loving wife Jane (nee Ronan) of 37 years and his kids and grandson: Sarah, Michael and his partner Carly Trenholme, and their son Hudson, and Chrissy and her husband Will Hunter, and Kevin the dog. Dave is survived by his loving parents Bob and Sylvia, and his brothers Randy (Mary Jane) and Ken (Sandra), and predeceased by his dear sister Kathy. Dave was blessed with a big extended family who will cherish their memories of their Uncle Dave, brother-in-law and chum. Dave's greatest joy in life was his family and he loved every minute he spent with them. Whether it was Sunday dinners with the "Dave's Faves" playlist humming in the background, Christmas mornings or puttering in the backyard while everyone played in the pool. He was an honourable man; an unwavering guiding light of wisdom and determination for his wife and kids. Dave experienced incredible success in his professional life during his time at Johnson & Johnson, Lindt and ENJO Canada, which took his family to Texas, British Columbia, England and back to Toronto. When he wasn't working or at home, you would find Dave on the golf course at Markland Woods, often playing 27 holes in one day, or having a Stella in the clubhouse with friends. Dave is somewhere now playing a few rounds with his father-in-law, Poppa, and hanging in the backyard with his beloved dogs Roxy and Harvey. His journey with ALS is done, he has not lost his battle, he has won. He lived through this unforgiving disease with unmatched courage and dignity. His motto in life and business was "Enjoy the Ride" and that's exactly what he did. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Online condolences available at www.turnerporter.ca

Dave was more than our sales director at Lindt Canada in the late 90’s. He was a mentor, leader and friend. When telling other former Lindt employees the sad news of Dave’s passing, many commented that he was “the best boss I ever had”. Dave has definitely made an impact on many people, and he will be truly missed. We know he will enjoy playing golf and piano in heaven. Our thoughts and prayers are with Jane and family.

I would like to extend my thoughts and sympathy to the entire family at this sad time. I had the pleasure of being recruited by Dave during his time in London with Lindt. When I think of Dave, I think of Hockey Updates, Greg Kinnear, Cool Raincoats, Enjoy The Ride and a supportive, engaging and charismatic leader. Thanks for everything Dave

My condolences to the entire Roebuck Family. I remember David well from High School as a talented musician. I have a vivid memory of David playing piano and doing a great version of the Billy Joel song "Honesty". Although I have not seen David since that time, his memory will remain with me. And now the illness has died and David's spirit lives. Sincerely, Perry Catena

So sorry to read this sad news. Our heartfelt condolences to Jane, and all of Dave's family. So many fond, and fun filled memories of Dave during my years at ENJO, which I will cherish. A lot of great times and laughs shared during that time. One that stands out is the kidnapping of ENJO Smiley and all the antics that followed. It has been a few years since those days, and we were unaware of Dave's journey with ALS, but we are sure he faced it head on and made the best of his years following his diagnosis. May the love of family and friends, and all your wonderful memories, help you through the difficult days ahead. Dave, cheers to you my friend, and know that you will never be forgotten. Rest well.
