David Joseph SYLVESTER

SYLVESTER, David Joseph - February 2, 1965 - November 17, 2014 After a long and courageous battle with cancer, David succumbed to his illness at Credit Valley Hospital on the evening of November 17, 2014. He leaves behind his loving wife Lucia, his two daughters Samantha and Madison, parents Gina and Len Sylvester, brother Paul (Audra), mother-in-law Wanda Wiszniewski, brothers-in-law John Wiszniewski (Cristina and Andrei Belcin) and Peter Wiszniewski (Ursula and Maxwell). Predeceased by father- in-law Feliks Wiszniewski. David will be greatly missed by family, friends and associates. A celebration of his life will be held at Glen Oaks Funeral Home, 3164 Ninth Line, Oakville, Ontario L6H 7A8. The family will receive friends and relatives for visitation on Saturday, November 22, 2014 from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. and Sunday, November 23, 2014 from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Merciful Redeemer Church on 2775 Erin Centre Blvd., Mississauga, Ontario, on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. Followed by burial ceremony and reception at Glen Oaks. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to the Trillium Centre Health Partners or the Dave Sylvester Wishing Well Fund (through any CIBC Transit No. 09232010, Account No. 1017314). Sincere appreciation is extended to Drs. Sauls, Kagan, Myers, Hayter, Woolfson, Hason and all the nurses and staff that provided such loving care and exceptional attention to David.
