David Todd Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David (George) Todd on Monday, February 13, 2017 at age 83. David was born in Schumacher, Ontario. Beloved husband of Angela Todd (nee Gabriel) for 60 years. Loving and devoted father of Diana (Ian) Hancock, Paul (Diane) Todd, and Steven Todd. Proud grandpa of Gemma and Kiri Wilson-Todd and step-Grandpa to Jennifer (Kyle) MacAulay. Dear brother of Jacqueline Todd, Shirley (Ray) Hope and predeceased sisters Sadie Todd, Eleanor (Al) McGee, Adeline (Jack) MacDonald and Lena, aka Bootsie (Reg) Foster. Uncle and Great-Uncle of many nieces and nephews. David was an inspector for Consumers Gas where he retired after 41 years of service. In his spare time, his love for classical music and his rich, velvet bass voice won him many Kiwanis singing competitions. He was also a member of the Canadian Opera Company chorus for 15 years. The family would like to express their thanks to the staff at Village Green for taking such good care of him in his last days. David's funeral will be held on Thursday, February 16th at the Giffen-Mack Funeral Home, 4115 Lawrence Ave. E., Scarborough. Visitation from 2 to 4 p.m. will be followed by a prayer service. MR Todd was the best bar none helping us neighborhood kids in particular a couple of the Dolan boys and for that we are eternally grateful. A pioneer in hockey coaching and a good friend and supporter till the end..you at the end of the day
