McGENNIS, Dennis Ralph On the morning of September 5, 2017, Dennis Ralph McGennis opened his beautiful blue eyes to his wife for the final time. Shortly after he peacefully passed away, surrounded by his family, to be with his Lord. He was a proud employee of the Toronto Star for 49 years. He was an avid woodworker and outdoorsman and enjoyed private time at his cabin with his dogs. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Donna, sons Ian and Brett and their wives Kimberly and Jennifer, grandchildren Sarah, Liam, Caitlin and Lauryn and brother Bryan. He was predeceased by sisters Donna, Norma Rae and Irene and granddaughter Rachel. He will be fondly remembered in a private service at the DeStefano Funeral Home, 1289 Keith Ross Drive, Oshawa (south side of Taunton Road, east of Thornton Road by the Oshawa Airport), 905-440-3595.
