PICK, DERRICK RORY May 5, 1949 - September 18, 2024 Holding the hand of his beloved and cherished wife, Elaine, our charismatic and kind Derrick passed in peace at home, and travelled into the light on September 18, 2024. Derrick is survived in the loving memory of many family and friends, including his wife, Elaine; his son, Stefan (Joanna) Laskis; his daughter, Marika; and the light of his life, grandchildren, Cole and Arabella. He was predeceased by his parents, Bertram and Freda. Visitation will be at Pine Hills Cemetery, 625 Birchmount Road, Scarborough, on Monday, September 23rd, from 5 - 8 p.m., and interment will be on Tuesday, September 24th, at 11 a.m., also at Pine Hills, with reception to follow. Please join us to celebrate Derrick, and to share memories and laughter just like he would have wanted. Flowers are welcome, and should you wish, we invite you to consider donating to University Health Network Foundation (UHN) towards esophageal cancer research. Derrick liked to say: "leave the World, and yourself, a better place", and that is truly what he did. We will miss you dearly, and will love you 'till the end.
