Dearest Jeevani & family, please accept our sincere condolences, we both feel we have lost a family member, we are still 'shattered' & can't believe our dear friend is no more. We have lovely omemories of Devane, all those nice times we spent together when you came to SriLanka every year. We enjoyed your company & the dinner you gave us in February before you left in March. Devane coming out with all those jokes! He will be sadly missed by all who new him. May he rest in peace. Mahendra & Shanti ( SriLanka)

God saw you getting tired
A cure was not to be,
So he put his arms around you
And whispered 'come with me'.

With tearful eyes we watched you
And saw you fade away,
Although we loved you dearly
We could not make you stay.

A golden heart stopped beating
Your tender hands at rest,
God took you home to prove to us
He only takes the BEST.

We will miss you terribly Uncle Devane. Thank you for being part of my life and memories and allowing me to be part of yours.

May God grant you eternal rest and perpetual light shine upon you.

May god bless Aunty Jeevani, Shiyamila, Dinesh, Jehan, Natasha and all the family at this difficult time.

Till we meet again...

Ambrita

Dear Jeevani, Shimila, Dinesh, Jeehan and Natasha,

This is a hour of grief for all of us. If it is of any consolation I have had the highest regard for Devane all my life.

If it is possible could one of you read the following message when you commit him to eternal rest.

“Devane was my loyal and trusted high school and university friend. We may have lived thousands of miles apart but our bond of friendship never waned never diminished. A great consolation is that he was with me only last November.
I say goodbye to a wonderful human being by saying
“Devane – may a legion of angels accompany thee to paradise.”

May God Bless You,

Christo Payoe
