I, today with a heavy heart learned Don's passing. My sincere condolences to the family.
I met Don in Northern Telecom's Quality Engineering; we were desk mates. His honesty, brilliant intelligence, humour and straight talking style were respected by everybody. We became trusting colleagues and true friends throughout our life in NORTEL and after.
Don you'll be truly missed; I wish you all the best on your track MY FRIEND.

The first time that I met Don was on a tennis court! His love for, and dedication to, tennis was matched only by his love for skiing, particularly for ski racing. He combined work, family life, and sporting activities with enthusiasm and energy to spare. He and Marcia once drove the four hours to our place in North Bay and arrived as we were starting breakfast! For a man of that high level of energy and enthusiasm to have his mobility stolen from him was cruel beyond measure. Yet, whenever I spent time with Don and Marcia, I saw a man of great intelligence, patience, and gentle humour. His was a very active mind in a body challenged by infirmity. He was reduced to watching athletic events rather than taking part. When I asked what they watched on TV, Marcia responded with "whatever moves". Neil and I treasure the day that we spent last September with you both. We have the precious memory of that very brave man who will be greatly missed by all who knew him. With deep affection, Peggy and Neil.

Donald James Gregg, you will be truly missed. But you are no longer itchy and can run the field with your beloved "Dusty".
