DONALD HUXTABLE Obituary

HUXTABLE, DONALD CARL 1927 - 2021 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Donald Carl Huxtable on December 10, 2021, with his family by his side. Don is survived by his wife of 70 years, Helen, his children Sue Huxtable, Dave Huxtable (Liz) and Jane Spencer (Scott), grandchildren Niki, Kole, Kate, Kurtis, Derek and Brenton and great-grandchildren Kayden, Mason, Lochlan, Brody and Mason. Don was an active part of the Stouffville community since 1956. He was a lifetime member of the Stouffville Lions Club as well as President in 1967. He was the MC for the annual ice shows for the Stouffville Skating Club for many years. He will be fondly remembered by many for his 34-year involvement with Music Mania mostly on stage and then behind the scenes in the later years. He was always positive and energetic with a passion for camping, canoeing and windsurfing but alpine skiing was his greatest passion which he enjoyed from his teenage years into his early 90s. A Celebration of Life will be held on April 27, 2022, 6:00 – 10:00 p.m., at Willow Springs Winery, Stouffville.

One of my favourite memories is the year I stood beside Don in the Music Mania chorus. His never-ending antic and one liners had me in stitches through long rehearsals. Rest peacefully, Don. You'll be missed.

To Helen and family. As part of the Music Mania family for a number of years, knowing Don was always fun and he was a great part of every show. Please know I still have great memories of those times. My condolences to Helen and family.

Dave, we´re so sorry to of the loss of your father. Most realize that inevitably at some time we will have to endure the passing of a parent. But, when that time comes, it still isn´t easy. Your father´s knowledge and wisdom will forever be missed but will endure over time through you.
