DOROTHY STRYPE Obituary
DOROTHY STRYPE (nee RICE) Mom passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 in her 94th year. The daughter of William and Mabel Rice of Rice's Dairy, Dorothy grew up in The Beaches across the street from her childhood sweetheart to whom she was married for 65 years. Bill passed away in 2011. She is survived by her sister Evelyn, children Terry, Jeffrey, Ron and Glen, eleven grandchildren and five great- grandchildren. She was an avid reader, florist, writer of Letters to the Editor and skilled bridge player. She was much loved and will be missed by her many friends and family members. A Memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, December 28, 2014 from 2-4 p.m. at Chapel Ridge Funeral Home, 8911 Woodbine Avenue, Markham (4 lights north of Hwy. 7), 905-305-8508.
