HUNTER, DR. DOUGLAS DAVID It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Douglas on Sunday, January 20, 2019 in his home surrounded by his family. He was 83. Loving husband of Marjorie for 45 years. Beloved father of Thora (Jim) Georgakas, Margaret (Todd) Reardon and Diana (James) Thoms. Proud Papa of Leo and Declan Reardon, Seraphina and Hunter Thoms and Elise and Theo Georgakas. Family and friends may call at the Dixon-Garland Funeral Home, 166 Main St. North (Markham Road), Markham on Saturday, January 26 from 12:30 - 2:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be in the Chapel at 2 p.m. with reception to follow. The family would like to thank all of our family and friends who have been so supportive and helpful during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Canadian Wildlife Federation and the Nature Conservancy of Canada.
