Dr. Brian Keith Gregory MEIKLE
Passed away May 5, 2016 at the age of 84. Survived by wife Janet (Fry), daughters Anne Kinzett (Richard) and Joan Fuchs (Francois), his grandchildren and sister Nancy Goodman. Predeceased by his parents Catherine and Keith Meikle, brother Thomas and son John. Brian's PhD in geology from McGill University led to a career as a mining executive. Friends and family will be welcomed on Monday, May 9th at 1 p.m. for a Memorial Service in the Chapel at Oakview Funeral Home, 56 Lakeshore Rd. W., Oakville (1 block east of Kerr St). In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Brian to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated. Online condolences may be offered at www.oakviewfuneral.ca

My condolences to the family. In 1960 I was an arts student at the U of T. My friend, Inno, was in engineering and got both of us jobs as rod and chainmen surveying claims for Canfer Mines at Kowkash, Ontario. Brian was the geologist in charge.It was a memorable summer. I shall never forget it. I recall Brian for the brief time I knew him with fondness and respect. I remember Janet joined him partway through that summer.
