Dwight DAVIS Obituary

DAVIS, Dwight Nelson - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Dwight Nelson Davis on June 13, 2013. His unexpected automobile accident caused his death to be instant and did not impact others. Dwight leaves behind his daughter Dorion Davis, his step daughters Rebecca, Jessica and Sarah, his sister Tina and his niece Natasha and nephews Jordan and Jacob. He will also be greatly missed by Gwen and Diane and many friends and extended family members. Dwight's recent passion led him to travel the world with a paddle to compete representing Canada in Dragon Boat Racing tournaments. In addition to his profession as a real estate agent, Dwight was a lean-mean-blading-machine, photographer, dancer, musician and philosopher. His sense of humor and light-hearted playfulness infused every aspect of his life. Hugs and laughter were passed out to all who crossed his path. He was a lover of life and a defender of people and animals. His wishes were not to have a funeral and therefore a memorial gathering and celebration of his life will be arranged for September. If you would like to attend please send your contact details to [email protected]

We start talking and it was is first time in Hong Kong and he was leaving to another place we had lunch together in Hong Kong airport we got so entertained with conversation that we almost lost both flights! Since then we been talking by Facebook and it was on is plans visiting Portugal, today I was talking about him to a friend when I found out that he wasn't there anymore! Sad day for me! My dear friend and crazy frog... you really are like the favorite shirt or faded, ripped jeans that you never want to get rid of because there are so many wonderful memories. No more swinging by at 9:30pm to see what I can rustle up for dinner after you were out on the water all day... paddle hard Dwight, you will be sorely missed my dear friend!

My heartfelt sorrow for the family. I attended the big family reunion he put together so many years ago with my children. It has been the talk of our family as we shared the great memories. Dwight was amazed at how much my very young daughter remembered when he visited us many years later when we lived in Stayner Ont. an amazing man that has left behind many great memories. Till we meet again for another reunion in the meantime look down on all of us with smiles.

Although we knew Dwight for less than a year, he was such a big personality that he made a huge impact to us. A great new neighbour who literally would not hurt a fly, spending 5 minutes to chase a wasp out of our house. He was so excited to embark on his adventure with his beloved daughter, I'm sure wherever he is that the party has started. Dwight, a true original, you were something else.

A genuine and kind person. Always had something kind to say to me. If he noticed I was not myself, he would come and chat with me and make sure he got me to smile.

Dwight was our neighbour for a lot of years. He had a zest for life, living everyday to the fullest with a broad smile and infectious laugh. He also had no trouble in looking out for his fellow man with the same bright smile. We will miss you Dwight but your amazing spirit will life on in our soles forever.
