I shall never forget Miss Cornett. History was not my favourite subject but she made it very interesting and I enjoyed it more with her than any other history teacher I had. I will always remember how, at a 2006 reunion, she remembered giving me an oral test because I had broken my thumb and could not write with the cast, over 40 years since the event. Rest in Peace, you will not be forgotten.

Miss Cornett was one of those teachers you never could forget - a dedicated and passionate teacher of History. I had her classes all through High School and found her tough but fair. I had the opportunity to meet her many years later and was delighted to find that she remembered me and was just as interested in what I was doing then as she had been when I was a student. Blessings and Peace be with you.

Joan cooper my mother remembers her well from her young years -they were very good friends. Her thoughts are with edith' family and she remembers fondly their time as friends.
I had her as my history teacher at MHS and found her to be a very strong professional expecting her students to be engaged and open to learning and interested in the study of history. We all respected her very much.
I recall seeing her in later years and she was always friendly and interested in what I was doing.
Thank you Ms Cornett for your teachings and support for so many of us.

Miss Cornett was my personal inspiration in History and I took in everything she gave to us in grades 12 and 13. She was committed to history, absorbed in it and was fundamental to my double major of Physical Education and History at the University of Toronto. Thank you, so much, Mr. Cornett, for everything you gave to your students.
