Eddie always had a smile. We first met in April of 1950. When we arrived from Scotland. He was a teenager and myself a wee boy in a kilt. Over the years we shared some great times in Mt Dennis and at the cottages.Ond day in 82 Eddie came over to my dad's house. Sitting in the kitchen he saw my farewell present for the company I used to work with. He was so taken with the set of PING Golf clubs they had given me. He could not believe it when I told him to take them home. Over the years he played golf with the Pings and when we met up he would always ask if I wanted them back. Never I would say. They are yours. Eddie when you play at the great golf course in the sky I will be thinking of you. Rest in peace my cousin. Aggie and kids and grandkids enjoy your great memories of a Good Man.

Uncle Ed you were a great friend to my father Larry Hastie. When dad died at such an early age you wrapped your arms around me and continued to support me like a father does. Words cannot express how much you meant to me. When the call came that you had passed it was like losing my father all over again. My memories are now my treasures. I love you! You will never be forgotten!
