It was one of life's sudden moments of reminiscence that urged me to look up Fr. Graham. I am still saddened by the result of my search although not very surprised as he and I crossed paths at Neil McNeil HS in 1984. I was in Gr. 9. He sensed that I liked mathematics and asked me to see him in his classroom with a notebook where he showed me mathematics that was off the textbook. We met at least a few times. It was clear that he was delighted to have found an interested student with whom he could share his passion in the subject. I remember his tips to this day. He also invited me to join his rosary group that met in the chapel on a regular basis to pray at lunch. We were each gifted a rosary and learned to recite it. There was a connection built. I still remember it fondly to this day. Fr. Graham was truly a respectable, humble, intelligent, and principled man. Rest in peace.

Father Graham was my Grade 13 calculus teacher at Neil McNeil High School in 1984-85. He was a brilliant man and impossible to keep up with in the classroom. Now and then, he would put down the chalk and dispense with the formulas and discuss "life". He was a wise and humble man and full of good counsel to me personally.

I had not kept in touch with Father Graham since that time but yesterday I was moved to thinking about the wonderful priests I knew at my childhood parish and former high school. This morning I included them all in my morning prayers with a fervent intensity that is not in keeping with my character.

Thirty minutes ago I decided to google Father Graham and learned of his recent passing.

God Bless You, Father Graham. May the light of Christ's presence shine on you forever.

I extend my deepest condolences to the Graham family and the Spiritans. Fr. Graham was and remains a permanent landmark in my life of what is holy and good.

He had created indelible memories of advanced mathematics, history, and impromptu Latin while integrating it with Catholic teaching at Neil McNeil High School.

He meticulously engendered prayer, discipline, perseverance, charity, service, and kindness to all who he taught at Neil McNeil. Truly, Fr. Graham has remained and will remain my reference point for all of these qualities throughout my life.

To know this true gentleman and servant of God was a privilege. I am happy I had that privilege; I am sure so many others feel the same.

Our sincere condolences & deep sympathy go out to the Spiritan & Graham families at the passing of Fr. Graham. It was a shock to read of Fr. Ned's passing in the Toronto Star.

While I did not know Fr. Ned personally as well as his late brother Bill, with whom I taught at Neil McNeil when it first opened its doors, nevertheless I had the honour of spending time with him at many social events, funerals and while he served as Bursar. He was a quiet, peaceful, spiritual ambassador for his Spiritan Community. He was, in my eyes, the epitome of a "very gentle man"!

But his spirit lives on, not only with his Maker, but also with all his family, his former students, many friends & people like ourselves, whose lives he touched during his long & worthwhile time on this earth. In the words of St. Paul: "I have fought the good fight & have finished the race" & now Fr Ned you have won that richly deserved Crown. Requiescat in Pace!

Regretfully due to illness, we shall neither be able to attend the Visitation at Laval House, nor the Celebration of Life Funeral Mass at St.Joseph's West Hill. However our thoughts, prayers & love will be with you all in spirit.

Respectfully & affectionately yours,
Theresa & Paul Raymond Wharton [former Neil McNeil teacher & Asst. Director of Education MSSB]

Father Eddie was a dear friend to my late uncle Eugene S. from St Brigid's. He would often lend me his marked up copies of The Spectator magazine.

I have so many good memories of Father Graham, crammed into my many great memories of my Neil McNeil years. I am truly thankful for not only Father Graham, but all the priests and teachers that taught us all. I am sure Father Graham would want to know that we share our respect and gratitude with all of them. I feel very fortunate to have met with him again this past November at a Neil Reunion, and thank him personally, and so many of the other teachers, for what they taught me, and all of us.
