ELEANOR KOLDOFSKY Was a very good woman and Great Director/ Producer. I worked with Eleanor shooting Documentary films. Super 16mm. She heard that I do house sitting. So she hired me to live in her mansion area know as , "Hogs Hollow/ Yorkmills area. She was kind, wise and generous. My condolence to her family and all loved ones. Sincerely, Lori Longstaff

Loved filming with Eleanor. Such a unique and powerful artist, a major force supporting the Toronto art community. You are greatly missed.

While this is a sad time, I am glad to be reminded that my childhood friend Barbara had 30 years with Eleanor - a long, rich, loving engagement of two unique minds.

We met some 60 years ago. The currant passed at once and our friendship that never failed started then.
We shared so many things, too many to detail here.
But that memory lane is in my heart.
Even when I moved to France, we corresponded frequently.
When I came to Canada to vist the family we always met.
We shared our love for books and music.
I admired your battles for what you believed in.
I hope you now joined the loved ones that preceded you, especially your beloved son Stephen.
You had a wonderful soulmate partner, Barbara.
Rest in peace my dearly beloved friend.
I will miss you.

Remembering shared talks, music events and times spent with her and her family. She broke 'many a glass ceiling' for women and for Classical music. She fought passionate battles for that she believed in, including the perseverance of Eaton's College Auditorium aka Carlu in Toronto. May her memory stay alive in the hearts of those who loved her.

I was Eleanor's product manager in my early years at CBS Records when she launched her Aquitaine Records label...she was a very caring and intelligent lady who treated me as an equal...I remember how excited she was to see my brand new 1976 Ford Granada and how surprised I was when I carried some artwork to her car, a brand new Rolls Royce!...Eleanor also bit Sam's head off when he ran me around during my first days as Toronto Branch Director...a lovely lady...RIP Eleanor

Here´s my memory:
Forty some years ago my husband and I were at the apartment of our friends getting ready for our very small marriage ceremony to take place. The doorbell rang and who was there but Eleanor with a huge bottle of champagne and the announcement "I´m not going to miss this!"
It is one of the sweetest memories I have of her, so deliciously warm and kind and funny and generous. Rest in peace, Eleanor. My deepest condolences to Barbara and to the Snidermans and all who are missing her.

Gone is a marvelous woman. She was one we all could emulate. She was passionate about so many things, community, art, music, environment, people. A creative force, she recognized talent and promoted the artists with all of her energy. She has left a beutiful legacy. She will be sadly missed by her soul mate and partner Barbara. We all are lessened by her passing.
