ELEANOR BLANCHE WALKER (nee BROWNING) Peacefully passed away at Credit Valley Hospital on December 25, 2014, at the age of 85 years. She was the devoted wife and constant companion of her loving husband, Harold; loving mother to children Donna (Bob), Robert (Sharon) and Lori (Grant); proud grandmother of Jennifer, Julia, Amanda and Lisa; and loving great-grandmother to Madison, Roman, Kate, Will, Chase and Charlotte. Eleanor was born and raised in Port Credit, Ontario, where she won the Peel Music Festival several times for singing. She attended Port Credit Secondary School during the war years. Eleanor was a homemaker and enthusiastic travel companion with her husband. She especially loved Palm Springs, California, Cape Cod and Hawaii. She was also a fantastic cook, knitter, quilter, decorator and gardener. Eleanor has been on a difficult journey during the last stages of her life. She fought hard against dementia. She and the family were assisted by the sensitive care of the staff at Specialty Care Mississauga facility, specifically Florence, Anna and caregiver, Bibi Ali. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has occurred and a private celebration of her life will be held in the new year.

Dear Donna,
Such a lovely picture and summary of your mother's life. She was the perfect homemaker of the day. Interesting that she attended Port Credit S. S., my old teaching school. Her passing is somewhat a blessing but she will be missed by your family always. Our condolences once again. Love, Elaine and Christopher George
