ZULYS, Elena - In loving memory of Elena Zulys who passed away peacefully in the caring presence of her family on Monday, March 9th, 2009, after a brief but valiant battle with a sudden illness. Elena, of Mississauga, Ontario, loving wife of the late Pranas "Frank" Zulys, sister of Joana (Ceslovas) of Windsor and Sigitas (Leonida) of Lithuania, devoted mother of Arthur (Shelley) of Wasaga Beach, Neris of Mississauga, and Frank (Cheryl) of Toronto. Cherished grandmother of Adam, Eric (deceased), Daiva, Mary and Alex. Friends and family will be received at the Turner & Porter "Peel" Chapel, 2180 Hurontario St., Mississauga (Hwy. 10 N. of QEW) from 6-9 p.m. on Wednesday March 11th with a praying of the Holy Rosary beginning at 6:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at the Church of the Lithuanian Martyrs, 2185 Stavebank Ave., Mississauga on Thursday March 12th, 2009 at 10:00 a.m., followed by a reception in the Anapilis Hall. Cremation will be followed by a private family interment. The family extends its deepest gratitude to the healthcare professionals at Trillium Health Centre, especially the nursing staff of Care Unit 4B. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Teviskes Ziburiai Lithuanian Weekly Newspaper or the Canadian Cancer Society.
