Elizabeth PANZA

PANZA, Elizabeth A devoted wife, a proud mother, a cherished Nonna and special friend who immigrated from Toritto, Italy in 1953. It is with heartfelt sadness that the family announces the passing of Elisa surrounded by family at home on August 4, 2017 at the age of 90. Loving wife of Nicola, married for 62 years, mother of Paolo and wife Sharon, Angela and husband Carlo Ladisa, her wonderful grandchildren Christopher and Tina, Nicolas and Diana and Michelle and Keith. Elisa has seven great-grandchildren, Alyssa and Nicolas, Lucas and Justin and Marissa, Avery and Chloe. Predeceased by her loving husband Nicola, her parents Angela and Michele and her brother Vito Sforza. Survived by sisters Giulia and Pina, Italy, sisters Maria and Giuseppe, Victoria and brother Giuseppe and Diane here in Canada. Elisa will be sadly missed by many sisters and brothers-in-law as well as many nieces and nephews both here, in Italy and the United States. With much gratitude to Dr. Kimberly Wintemute and Dr. Anna Ferguson. Also a very special thank you to her devoted and loving caregivers. Friends may call at MARSHALL FUNERAL HOME, 10366 Yonge St., Richmond Hill on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary Immaculate Church, 10295 Yonge St, Richmond Hill on Friday, August 11 at 10 a.m. Entombment at Holy Cross Cemetery. If desired in lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made to the Alzheimer Society of North York.
