MOODIE, Ellen Darling - Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 in her 85th year. Ellen, loving sister of Darlene Augustus, Calvin Moodie and Marian Moodie and sister-in-law of Blanche Moodie. Predeceased by parents William Henry Moodie and Jennie (Darling) Moodie and by her siblings Ronald, Murray (Ruth), Stuart, Wildon (Jessie), Graham, William Henry Jr. (Janet) and Isabelle (Bryan Montgomery). Ellen will be missed by her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great- nephews. Many thanks to the staff and volunteers at Peel Manor for their care and support. Friends will be received at the J. S. Jones and Son Funeral Home (11582 Trafalgar Road, north of Maple Avenue), Georgetown, 905-877-3631, on Friday, May 9, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow in the Trafalgar Room. Interment Glen Williams Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ellen's name may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. It was with genuine sadness I heard of Ellen's passing. She taught me to listen with my whole being. Ellen will be deeply missed. My sincere condolences to her family.
