KARAKATSANIS, Emmanuel - 1924 - 2014 It is with great sorrow that we share the loss of our husband, father and grandfather in his 90th year. He passed away peacefully in his home, surrounded by family and his beloved wife of 60 years. Adoring husband of Xanthippe, loving father of Andromache, Catherine and Anthony. Loving father-in-law of Tom Karvanis and Erika Kerhoulas and proud grandfather of Paul, Rhea and her husband Bryce, Alexander, Emmanuel and Kyra. Emmanuel came to Canada from Greece as a young man, met his future wife and built a wonderful life through hard work, sound judgment, integrity and respect for others. He was a successful restaurateur, including the Top O' the Mall in Don Mills, until his retirement in 1986. He was devoted to his wife, his family and his friends. He loved life, was kind, generous, always optimistic and content. The family will receive friends at the Humphrey Funeral Home on 1403 Bayview Avenue on Monday, June 23rd from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Emmanuel will be laid to rest at a private funeral.
