YAKIWCHUK, Eric Peter - It is with great sadness that the family of Eric Yakiwchuk announces his passing, after a brief illness, on Sunday, March 5, 2017, at the age of 64. Eric will be lovingly remembered by his partner of 25 years, Karen Hall and his son Tyler Yakiwchuk. He is survived by his sisters Angela Murray and Lori Yakiwchuk and his brother-in-law Brian Bendall. Eric was preceded in death by his sister Marlene Bendall. Eric was a retired Fireman from the Toronto Fire Department. He loved his pets and had a great appreciation for outdoor nature. Visitation will be held at Glen Oaks Funeral Home, 3164 Ninth Line, Oakville, on Saturday, March 18, 2017 from 12 to 1 p.m. followed by a service at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a donation in memory of Eric can be made to the Toronto Humane Society.
