Eva GIRROIR Obituary

GIRROIR, Eva Jean (nee BAIRD) Born June 19, 1961, taken too soon on June 29, 2017. Predeceased by her husband David Dadswell. Jeannie was a true friend to those lucky enough to have known her and a devoted dog-mom to Finnegan. Many were drawn to her positivity, energy and sincerity and found in her a deep well of compassion and understanding. Jeannie was a "Jill of all trades"; a fabulous floral designer, bar keep, purveyor of vintage goods, wicked scrabble player and a nature lover. She was silly, funny, bright as a star and had a heart with room enough for all. A day was always made better with her in it. The loss of her kindness and light will be felt by family, friends and her community. Donations can be made to the Toronto Wildlife Centre, 60 Carl Hall Rd., Toronto, ON M3K 2C1. A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, July 6th at Stratengers, 1130 Queen St. E., from 6 - 9 p.m.

From just a few short conversations on the sidewalk at the front of the store, I learned that Jeannie was a lovely, kind hearted soul and I regret not finding more time to talk. She will inspire me to do my best.

Our Jeannie was to us a person who could always make us smile. Her way of loving kindness was always accepted with great panache. Her beautiful letters to us have a very special memory now that she can only communicate via the ethers...and we still expect them from this dear sweet one.
