ALEXANDER, Evelyn (nee Kaufmann) - Peacefully in her one hundred fourth year, in Montreal on Monday, July 26, 2010. Wife of the late George L. Alexander, QC. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Norman and Betsy, Bill and Rhoda and the late Evie Steinberg. Grandmother of Gary and Lois, Jimmy and Lisa, Robin and Andrew, Liane, Matthew, Michael, Jane, the late Julie-Adriane. Great-grandmother of Danielle, Michelle, Eric, Sydney-Lynn, Erin, Ryan, Evan, Jordy, Jason, Natasha, Cayla and Sarah. Predeceased by her elder siblings, Dr. Mark, Dr. Joseph, Israel, Harry, Barnett, Henry, Ethel and Elizabeth. Sister-in-law of Lodi, the late Dr. Ben and the late Lt. Col. Maurice Alexander K.C., M.P., K.M.G. Evelyn will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, family and all of those whose lives she touched. Ever grateful to her very dear friend Doreen Freidman. Profound gratitude to Evelyn's exceptional caregivers, Nelly, Pressy and Elenita, who have the 'touch of angels' and to the staff of 4 South at Maimonides Geriatric Centre.
