FILOMENA RECCHIUTI Peacefully, at home on October 27, 2010 in her 75th year, Filomena entered into rest with God. Cherished wife of 56 years to her husband Corrado, proud mother of Patrizia, Lorenzo (Tina), Stella and Nick (Synthia). Devoted and loving grandmother to Claudia, Andria, Corrado, Massimo, Laura, Sebastian and Alexia. Dear sister and aunt to Angela (Frank Fontana) and family, Clara (Lou Angelini) and family, Joe Mercurio and family, Vera (Terry Dodds) and family and Sylvia Johnstone and family. She will be sadly missed and remembered by extended family and friends in Canada and Italy. A woman of integrity, strength and compassion, she was a generous soul with an enthusiasm and zest for life. Her lengthy illness did not stop her from enjoying her family and friends. Visitation will be held at the Fratelli Vescio Funeral Homes Ltd. (8101 Weston Rd., south of Langstaff Rd., 905-850-3332), on Friday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 30, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. from St. Margaret Mary Roman Catholic Church (on Islington Ave., south of Langstaff Rd.). Entombment to follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery (off Bayview Ave., south of Hwy. 7) In lieu of flowers, donations to the Parkinson Society Central and Northern Ontario or Hospital for Sick Kids would be appreciated.
