Frederick John Sidney "Ted" RAPLEY

RAPLEY, Frederick John Sidney "Ted" Passed away peacefully, on Tuesday, March 29, 2022,, in his 86th year. Ted is survived by his wife, Lyn; his daughter, Leanne and her partner, Marcel Besner; his daughter, Susanne Williams and her husband, Mitch; and his beloved grandchildren, Madelyn, Sydney and Arthur Strader and Lindsay, Abby and Gavin Williams. Ted will also be dearly missed by his sisters, Penney Brown, Elizabeth Leatherdale, and Georgea Waffle; by his brother-in-law, John Schuermann and his wife, Elizabeth; by his brother-in-law, Perry Schuermann; and by his many nieces, nephews and friends. Ted enjoyed his life in Markham since 1971. He spent his entire career in the automotive industry and made many lifelong friends along the way. He joined the Masonic Lodge in 1966, and was a proud Shriner for almost 50 years. A visitation will take place on Sunday, April 3, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the Dixon Garland Funeral Home at 166 Main St., North, in Markham, and visitation will be followed by a service at noon. In lieu of flowers, and if desired, donations in Ted's memory may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children (please see shrinerschildrens.org) or to Union Villa. Ted's family wishes to express its sincere thanks to the wonderful staff at Union Villa and Sunrise of Unionville for their exceptional care and compassion.
