Frederick Schofield Obituary

FREDERICK SCHOFIELD RCAF 1943 - 1945 Member of Legion Branch 345 Retiree - Colgate Palmolive - 37 Years Fred loved to travel and enjoyed a good game of golf. Born in Toronto, January 29, 1926 to Frederick and Lillian Schofield, he grew up with three sisters and a brother. In his 87th year, Fred passed away after a short hospital stay with Heart and Kidney Disease on Thursday, February 23, 2012. He left behind the "Love of His Life" Audrey after 65 years of marriage. Fred cherished his 5 children, Robert and Gail Schofield, John and Lois Schofield, Sheila and Greg Marshall, Janet and Mitch Dmitrovic and predeceased by his daughter Joanne. Fred was blessed with 7 grandchildren, Scott, Charmaine, Shawn, Joe, Julie, Jessica and John and will be remembered by his 7 great-grandchildren. Fred was predeceased by his 2 sisters and brother and remembered fondly by his many nieces, nephews and friends. The family wishes to express their gratitude to Dr. Janet Roscoe and the Nursing Staff of CP1 at the Scarborough General Hospital for their excellent care and never ending compassion. Family and friends will be received at the PINE HILLS CEMETERY & VISITATION CENTRE, 625 Birchmount Rd., Scarborough (north of St. Clair Ave., 416-267-8229), for a Funeral Service in the Chapel on Monday, February 27, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior. As an expression of sympathy, all donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke or Kidney Foundation or a charity of your choice. "Forever Loved and Missed"
