MAYERHOFER, Friederich Karl July 1, 1931 - April 30, 2021 Friederich Karl Mayerhofer aslo known as Fred, passed away April 30, 2021. Fred was born July 1, 1931 in the Town of Langau, Austria. Dearest son of Johann Mayerhofer and Maria Stark. Fred was youngest of 3 children. Fred was a loving husband to Ingeborg Sophia Kerschbaum (deceased), they got married in Vienna, December of 1956. He immigrated to Toronto on July 17, 1958 and Ingeborg followed shortly after. He was a cabinet maker, he worked hard, became accomplished and very successful. He eventually started his own business for general wood products. Fred also served as Commodore in 1980 – 1982. Fred and Ingeborg shared a passion for outdoor sports, skiing and sailing. They joined QCYC and name their boat "Running Free" Fred also served as Commodore in 1980-1982. He was a kind and helpful person, he will be greatly missed. He will be resting at York Cemetery and Funeral Centre.
