GARY NATHAN Obituary

NATHAN, GARY WILLIAM Peacefully on October 18, 2021 at the age of 76. Beloved husband of Steffi for 48 years. Loving father of Katherine (Till) Weiss and William (Ashley). Proud Grandpa to Ollie, Esme, and Aiden. Loving brother to Joan (late Bob) and brother-in-law to Veronika (Brian) and Nikolaus (Chantal). Uncle to Jamie, Lisa, Brian, Anne, Doug, Celia, Stephanie, Amparo and their families. Predeceased by his canine pal Basil. Gary enjoyed spending time on and around the water, and took every opportunity to enjoy nautical life, whether it be boating with his family in the summer around the Great Lakes and 1000 Islands, or going out in his kayak to take photos of wildlife in Florida every Winter. A devoted family man, Leafs fan, and a jokester to the end, he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Gary and his final vessel, Everlasting Loon, were laid to rest at Pine Hills Cemetery with immediate family present.

Gary and I taught science together at Sir Wilfrid Laurier Collegiate for 28 years. He was dear colleague and good friend. Gail and I have always valued our friendship with him and Steffi, and we were so sorry to hear of his passing. We offer our sincere sympathies to Steffi, Katherine, and William, as well as the rest of the family.
