We think fondly of the entire Schreider family, ranging from Gary's time as a Golden Gael, through your hospitality to the Queen's football team after one of their games in Ottawa and the visits to Invermere to share time with us at Susanne's home at that time. He was a gentleman and a tremendous friend to all of our family.
We are thinking about all of you at this point and share your sorrow.

Dear Pat and family,
I was so sorry to hear of Gary's passing.I knew Gary when we were in high school. As a teenager he was such a positive,gentlemanly young man and I felt privileged to call him my friend. He was a person that I admired and I have such good memories of him. I will remember him in my prayers. God bless you all.

To Gary’s Family and Friends
Sorry to hear the bad news, it pains me to hear we lost a fellow son of Belleville, Queen’s University and the Ottawa Rough Rider’s. I knew of Gary and his accomplishments and many years latter I followed his foot steps. He was an inspirational figure that I looked up to his efforts made the path to my success a easier because the trail was already broken.

Dear Pat and Family: I was so very sorry to hear of Gary's passing. We were friends going back to the days of the North Toronto Track and Field Club. We practiced many sprint starts together. He was such a friendly and genuine person. My deepest thoughts are with you in this time of sorrow.

Sorry to here of Gary's passing. I have many fond memories whenever our families got together at the Rooke cottage or our visits to Ottawa. My favourite is with (uncle)Gary and Russ Jackson fishing on the Florida intercostal in small boat with a cooler of 'pop'.

Dear Patricia & Family,
Please accept my condolences for your loss of Gary. Back in the mid to late 50's Gary taught me Math at St. Michael's College High School. I remember him being a whiz at algebra and he was a very kind, caring man. Enjoyed watching him play football for the Riders.

Pat, I'm so sorry to hear of Gary's passing. You and Gary go way back with my parents Jim and Mary Lou Conroy, good old Riders days. I have fond childhood memories of our families together there in Ottawa. I'm glad I got to see you in the doctors office that one April day in 08 when my dad and I walked into the waiting room and saw you and Gary sitting there, what a surprise. To the Schreider Family
Your father was a kind, gentle un-assuming man. He along with your mother did a great job of passing on their values to all of you. I will never forget the first time I met your dad in 1976 after a Rough Rider game, he was sitting in your family room with some of his friends. I remember how impressed I was, meeting an X Ottawa Rough Rider, but more impressed of how nice he was in welcoming me into your home.
