HOBSON, George Murray - Murray passed peacefully at Royal Victoria Hospital, Barrie on Thursday, April 9th, 2009, with family and friends at his side. He was a 35 year Employee of Canada Post, Toronto, Willowdale and Scarborough, R.C.A. WWII Veteran, member of Burton Avenue United Church, St. Clair Discussion Group and Chordsmen Barbershoppers. He was in his 90th year and was formerly of Willowdale. Beloved husband of Jean (McCammon) (nee Cummings) and the late Beth Greenhead. Father of John (the late Karen) and Donnalee of Toronto. Grandfather of Jason (Pahua) of Cambridge, Scott of Toronto. Father of Heather and Gerald "Shep" Shepetunko of Arthur. Step-father of Lynn Duncan (Bill) of New Zealand, Patrice McCammon (Jeff) of Wasaga Beach, Renee Stead of Barrie, Jamie (Jane) McCammon of Burlington, Jeffrey (Victoria) McCammon of Sri Lanka and Peggy Peterson of Huntsville. Step-grandfather to Fiona, John, Kellie, Colleen, Kerrie, Kim, Andrea, Gregory, Sean, Christopher, Kacie, Tyler and Lisa. Step-great- grandfather to Hunter, Kimberly, Daniel, Russell, Harrison, Jacob, Aiden and Oliver. Brother to Marguerite (late Irvin) Hyde, Grand Rapids, MI, and the late Marvin (late Isabel) Hobson of Barrie. Friends may call at the STECKLEY-GOODERHAM FUNERAL HOME (Clapperton and Worsley Streets), Barrie on Wednesday between 2:00 and 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 and 9:00 p.m. Memorial Service at Burton Avenue United Church, Barrie, on Thursday, April 16, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow. Interment of cremated remains Millgrove Cemetery, Millgrove, conducted by Cattel, Eaton & Chambers Funeral Home, Dundas, Ontario on Thursday at 4:00 p.m. Reception to follow. Everyone welcome.
