I got to know George around 1989 and into the very early 1990's. I will probably never meet someone in my life with as kind a heart and as deep an understanding what it means to struggle with depression. I was sad to hear of his passing and wish i had been able to see him again just one more time. He was such a giant force in my life, he was the first to teach me to not be afraid of my feelings and to not run from them but embrace them and try to understand them as it would be the only thing that would make me well. I miss you George, you were one of a kind and the world will miss you. You were a gentle soul and am glad that so much of you now lives on in others through being a tissue and organ donor. My deepest heartfelt sympathies go out to his entire family. The size and love within that family is only matched by the size of George's heart. God Speed George in your journey towards the Light and away from fear. I loved you and will never forget you.

A neighbor up the street and friend from high school, many a day were spent in at George's house playing the games we loved with our group of friends. George was always generous, clever and funny and though we lost touch over the years, he was part of youthful memories that will stay with us forever.

I can't think how George could have been any nicer. We did business together for several years and never saw him upset or angry. Always a pleasure to be around and he will be missed. Alan Pearson and cathy Rabinovitch

George was my best friend when I lived in Mississauga in the 1970s. We played many games of table hockey. I had tried to find him recently and came across his passing. I am very saddened to hear. My heart aches and prayers to the family in your loss.
