George ORMOS

ORMOS, George - May 2, 1914 - January 4, 2013 Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family in Toronto in his 98th year. George will be remembered by his beloved wife Maria of 63 years. Loving father and grandfather to son Thomas (Maria), granddaughter Olivia and grandson Lucas; son Jim (Reba) and grandsons Matthew and Alexander. George will be missed by his extended family in California, Wales and Chile. The family would like to thank the many people who helped George enjoy the last years of his life with his wife Maria: caregivers Cecilia, Evangeline, Oretta; nurse Erlyn; Dr. Solarich and Debbie; Ryad and Paul and his good friend Harvey. Together George and Maria lived an interesting, entrepreneurial life in many countries and cities: Hungary, Chile, Argentina, Montreal and Toronto where they achieved success with Or-Plast Ltd. George loved his sports, especially soccer, as he coached professionally in both Chile and Argentina. He always looked forward to World Cup Soccer. At his request there will be no funeral. In memory of George, contributions may be made to the North York General Hospital Foundation.
