FOLEY, GERALD "GERRY" JAMES In loving memory of Gerald "Gerry" James Foley, 89 years, who passed away suddenly Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at Health Sciences North. Beloved husband of Rosemary (Cryderman) Foley. Loving father of Barbara (Jerry Klineman), Patricia "P.J." (Robert Millar), Sandra (Charles Beaudry) and Douglas (Tracey Chokan). Cherished grandfather of Jeffrey, Robyn (Pablo), Matthew (Kendall), Allyson (Ryan), Rachael (Tyler), Mackenzie, Madeline and great-grandfather of Pablo, Tomas, Charlotte, and Violet. Dear son of Harold and Gertrude, both predeceased. Dear brother of Jean (John Grignon predeceased), and David (Patricia). Sadly missed by his nieces and nephews. Gerry was a professional hockey player. He lived sportsmanship on the rink and off. As a player, coach, owner, or fan, he leaves a rich legacy of excellence. Gerry was a gifted builder, a caring nursing home provider and a man of strong will and character. He enjoyed spending time at his camp on Lake Wahnapitae and at his winter home in Florida. He will be lovingly remembered as a caring Poppa to his family and many friends. Thank you to Dr. Killian De Blacam for years of friendship and care. Also, thank you to the team at HSN. A memorial Mass will be held at St. John the Evangelist Church, Garson on Monday, December 13, 2021 at 11 a.m. Friends may gather at the church after 10:45 a.m. Monday. Face masks are mandatory. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. Donations to the Garson Food Bank of the HSN Foundation would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the Jackson & Barnard Funeral Home.
