Gerry was my cousin and I knew him quite well while growing up. I was fortunate to see him in both Fiddler on the Roof and Godspell. He was a very nice, kind person and will be missed.

I met Gerry in 1998 on the set of a film ... he was very kind and nice to me, a newcomer. Every time we would meet again and again he always had that Gerry Salsberg smile that was so sincere whenever he would see you. For those fleeting moments when we did meet I am grateful.

I just heard today that Gerry passed on, very sad to hear. I met and worked with Gerry at a local play/musical he was doing at the YMHA at Bathurst and Sheppard. He starred in They're Playing Our Song at the Leah Posluns theatre. I was a volunteer doing follow spot (spot lights) and had a chance to talk with Gerry-very nice and talented guy.

I am so very very sad to hear of Gerry's passing. He's always been one of my favourite guys in a business where so many are so superficial. We recently bumped into each other on a film shoot, "All the Good Ones Are Married", after not having seen each other for many years, and it felt like just yesterday. My sincere condolences to all who loved him. His kind heart and gentle spirit are what I will remember.

Sometimes Gerry would say something at age 8 or 10 and I just went wow this guy is brilliant...but he was really a soft heart...like the song says about Van Gogh...too gentle for this hard world....as we grew older his insights into comedy were at times staggering....his delivery but it was his insight that really blew my mind.....I did not know he was very ill....I had no clue....very very sad and shocked...but I have a deep faith....and he must be rewarded now....the meek shall inherit the earth.....he was so gentle...far too gentle....I can't stop writing about him.....what a guy....

So Sorry and Saddened to hear about Gerry, he always had good things to say even in trying times. I wish I would have had the time to catch up with him before this! You will be missed my man Charles W. Gray - Los Angeles
