Gert SONSER Obituary
SONSER, Gert Mathaus Passed away quietly in the early morning of Thursday, August 17, 2017 surrounded by his family. He is survived by wife Wilhelmina, daughters Heather and Sabrina and son-in-law Daniel. He leaves behind his sisters Eleanor (Dieter) and Anna (Kim), niece Amanda (Michael) and nephew Mark (Trish). He also leaves behind his aunts Tante Ludi and Tante Anni, as well as his great-nieces and nephews who knew him as their beloved Uncle G. He goes to join his daughter Stephanie, his parents Alois and Eleanor Sonser and his parents-in-law Johannus and Johanna Van Der Lelie. Celebration of Life services will be held at Accettone Funeral Home at 384 Finley Ave. in Ajax on August 21st from 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. immediately followed by a reception. Interment at Pine Ridge Memorial Gardens at 541 Taunton Rd. West in Ajax at the All Faiths Garden. Procession to leave the funeral home by 1:45 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research.

Dear Willi, Heather, Sabrina, and Daniel, and Lore and Dieter, and Anni and Kim, as well as Mark and Amanda and families, In Canada, the US, and Austria, we will miss Gerti so. He lived his life well. He was modest and brave. He had a goofy sense of humor. He loved his family above all else. Willi, Heather, and Sabrina, you were right with him through this time of great challenge. What a profound gift to have given him.
You've done well, Gertilein. Schlaf gut; ruhe in Frieden, mein Cousin.
