Ghee-Lin Tan Obituary

TAN, Ghee-Lin - It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Ghee-Lin Tan on August 6, 2010 in his 70th year. Beloved husband of Lynne, loving father of Bryson (Janine) and Kirsten (Tim) and adoring grandfather of Teagan Elise. A celebration of his life to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Ian Anderson House would be greatly appreciated.

Since the late 80's I have been trying to locate Tan Ghee Lin. Made enquiries in KL. No one seemed to know. Also asked a friend in Hamilton, Toronto. Just this afternoon, I thought I should have another go at locating my friend.

Sad to discover that he passed away. We were colleagues at the Malaysian university. I then proceeded to study in the UK; we communicated by letter a few times. I retired a Professor of Manufacturing Engineering in 2005. After having established a Manufacturing Development Centre in Penang in 2017, I am now getting old "gracefully" in Glasgow, Scotland.
My belated condolences to Tan's family. By the way, which Canadian city did Tan emigrate to?
