Giacomo Giorgio Obituary

GIACOMO GIORGIO January 10, 1929 - February 9, 2009 Born in Chiaravalle Centrale, Catanzaro, Italy It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Giacomo Giorgio on February 9, 2009 at Etobicoke General Hospital. His last moments were spent surrounded by his family. His rich 80 years of life were centred on his work and devotion to his family and friends. He will be sorrowfully missed by his cherished wife of 54 years, Maria Concetta. He was a devoted father to Domenic and his wife Chiara, Lina, Vince and his wife Elena, Lucy and her husband Tino. He was much loved and adored by his grandchildren Alicia, Graziella, Natasha, Giacomo, Vanessa and Adrian. He is survived by his brother and three sisters. Bonded by his love we celebrate the memories and rejoice in his endearing spirit. Friends and family will be received at Newediuk Funeral Home, 2058 Kipling Ave. on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, February 12th at 10:30 a.m. at Transfiguration of Our Lord Catholic Church, 45 Ludstone Dr. Entombment to follow at Glendale Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, 1810 Albion Rd.

I'll always remember Giacomo playing his bagpipes for me. He was one-of-a-kind.

i had the pleasure of working with jack for the last 10 + years and consider myself blessed to have known such a great man, he was like a father to me and will never be forgotten.
