Dr. McIlveen was our family doctor for many years.
He safely delivered three of our five children.
He made many house calls when we were growing up, he was a kind and thoughtful man. It took me a long time to adjust to his not being my doctor, I will always remember him fondly, may he Rest in Peace.
My sincere condolences to his family.

Dr. Mc Ilveen delivered 4 of the 5 children in our family growing up in Ajax. I myself sat on glass and had 15 stitches, hit by a transport truck in the middle of town, was always sick, my Mom called him Mac she saw him so much. I went to school with Mary Ellen & Karen and was sorry to hear of the loss of your brother. Please know my
thoughts are with your families. He was the best
GP and glad he lived a long life. Carol Hilts Pileski
I live in Grand Bend now and would love to reach out, this is late, hope you receive it.

Just a final tribute to Dad. Thanks for the work ethic you instilled in me, and that anything worth having was worth working for. You gave me so many gifts, , a love of music, politics, animals, especially dogs, books, and an appreciation for sports. Teamwork in life. I miss you, Dad. Xo

I’m grateful that you are my dad. You lived by your values and always desired to see people live out their potential. I loved spending time with you and the many interesting conversations we had about life, sports, politics, and family. His belly laugh is one of the things I will miss the most. Dad shared many memories of his growing up years to us all at family gatherings. We were engaged by his stories of his life and now our family will pass them down to our children. What a legacy and a blessing you were here with us for almost 98 years. Love you and miss you. ❤

I worked at APGH from 1973-1992 as a Registered Nurse. I remember Dr. McILVEEN as a quiet, kind person, always with a smile on his face. The one thing in particular I remember was that his eyes, I think they were blue, always had a little glint in them.
He was one of the original doctors, that kept our little hospital running smoothly.
Rest in Everlasting Blessed Peace, Dr. McILVEEN
