Gilles was a very special person, admired and loved by many. While I was working with him in Montreal for Royal Bank during DFT, his nickname was VP of Entertainment - always making sure we had fun during long, hard weeks of work

I grew up knowing Gilles in Montreal, as I was his daughter's best friend. I always loved his great sense of humour and easy going nature. I remember shyly telling him he was handsome when I was very young and he responded was a large grin. I am so sorry for everyone's loss. Gilles touched so many lives during his life. Errrr Geeeeee! (That's what I used to say to him as a kid).

While he was a brother-in-law to us, he was also very much our friend. It always amazed us how any room brightened when he entered it. He will be sorely missed by all but we have been so blessed to have had him in our lives.
