Gladys Colledge Obituary

COLLEDGE, Gladys Lillian - Retired from Canada Packers Passed away peacefully on February 28, 2012 at Cedarvale Lodge, Keswick, Ontario in her 92nd year. Gladys was the beloved daughter of the late Samuel and Martha Colledge. She was predeceased by her sister Irene, brothers Stanley and Lewis (Isabel) Colledge. Loved aunt of Anne (Jim Virgin), Louise Bradley and predeceased by Margaret (Joe Madden). She was the great-aunt of Judy (Don Beers), Bruce (Colleen) Madden, Richard (Yolanda) Madden, Nancy (Glenn Darling), Andrew Madden, Linda (David Roberts), Janice (John Redmond), Donald (Bev) Virgin, John Virgin, Mike (Carolyn) Virgin, Jim (Karen) Virgin, Bob (Kelly) Bradley, Steve (Loretta) Bradley. Aunt Gladys is also survived by 25 great-great- nieces and nephews and by 13 great-great-great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Lynett Funeral Home (3299 Dundas St. West, Toronto, 416-767-1176, one block east of Runnymede Rd.) on Friday, March 2, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will take place on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at 10 a.m. from the Church of the Advent (40 Pritchard Ave., Toronto). Interment to follow at St. Philip's Anglican Cemetery (at the corner of St. Phillips Rd. and Dixon Rd., Toronto). In lieu of flowers, donations to the Church of the Advent would be greatly appreciated.

She was a wonderful Aunt who was a big part of our lives. She attended our weddings, spoiled our children and cared for her sister Irene when she became ill. A faithful member of the Church of the Advent we will always cherish her memory.
