GORDON VICTOR DOWNEY

In loving memory of Gordon Victor Downey, born in Toronto, Ontario to Ernest John and Grace (McGuire) Downey, June 12, 1948. Gord passed away September 10, 2014, at the age of 66 at Mt. Sinai Hospital. Gord was a very loving and supportive father to Jennifer Colyer (Daryl) and Joseph Downey (Juice). He was also the very proud Papa to Lauren Colyer, she will forever be, Papa's little sweetheart. Gord is survived by his mother, Grace Downey and his 3 brothers, Larry (Marcella), Victor (Kelly) and Patrick (Joyce). Gord was a kind and generous man, he loved to have fun and make people laugh. He was a wonderful father, son, brother, uncle and a great friend to many. He will be much missed by all those who knew him. A celebration of Gordon's life will be held, Saturday, September 20th, from 1-4 p.m. at the YORK VISITATION CENTRE, 160 Beecroft Rd., North York (north of Sheppard Ave., west of Yonge St., 416-221-3404). A reception will follow at the Army, Navy and Air Force Veterans, 1649 Weston Rd., south of Lawrence Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association. GO HABS!!
