Gordon LANGEVIN Obituary

LANGEVIN, Gordon Reay Cinematographer Gord Langevin, born January 28, 1948 of Toronto, passed away on September 14, 2022, in his 74th year. Gord is survived by his son Michael (Kimberley) and grandchildren Calvin and Melody. Also by his mother Helen and by his 7 siblings; Reasa, Owen, Steve, Andy, Emily, Arthur and Laura. Gord was predeceased by his father Cyril Langevin, also of Toronto and Muskoka. Gord was a charter member of IATSE 667 and started his film career in 1971. Gord was among the top tier camera crews by reputation and worked on many Canadian classics such as A Christmas Story, Meatballs, Police Academy III and Porky's. A private family service will take place in Muskoka later this year.

I worked on many films with Gord in the 70s and 80s and enjoyed his friendship over those years. He was a lovely man and this is another great loss for the industry. Gone too soon!
