Gordon Meinecke Obituary
March 21, 1930 - February 5, 2017
Passed away peacefully at home with his cherished wife of 45 years, Maure, at his side. He will be deeply missed by his children, Tanya and Stephen and their spouses Lars and Yvette; his five grandchildren, Connor, Riley, Griffin, Matthias and Mikaela; his sister Ruth, brother Rolf and his family; and his sister-in-law, Margaret. Predeceased by his brothers Ernie and Allan. Born in Germany, Gordon immigrated to Canada in 1951 and established a prominent career as a commercial photographer; later in life he contributed greatly to Ontario's woodcarving community. Heartfelt thanks to our friends and family for their support.

Dear Maure and family,
it is with deep regret that I heard of Gordon's passing; I send our heartfelt condolences.
Gordon was a great teacher, exceptional in all his endeavours, demanding on himself yet always a pleasure to be with. He will be missed.
