Gord Shorey was my buyer at Tonolli Canada. Through his purchases of gel cell lead-acid batteries, I was able to start a part-time business that grew into WeRecycleBatteries.com now in its 11th year in business. I can't thank him enough for what he did for me and my family.

To the Shorey family, We have known Gord Shorey for more than 40 years as a friend and fellow coach in softball. Gord won many awards over the years including Ontario & Canadian Championships in 2009.
A good family man, Gord and his wife Carole raised a family of three Neil, Lyn & Sandy. He had a successful career at Tonolli Canada for over 40 years and was committed to sharing his dedication and skills to many young ladies softball players in Ontario.
To put Gords' life into perspective, a quote from Winston Churchill, who said;
"You make a life out of what you get and your develop that life in what you give"
Gord worked very hard all his life and gave plenty of everybody through his kindness, generosity, humor and coaching skills.
Most of all a great friend, may he rest in peace.

God Bless Carole and family. Gord was part of the family since he coached Kathleen many years ago. Friend and Coach for decades with Paddy Ryan, promoting ladies softball and winning Canadian Championships. Gord could recall a play or hit from any game to discuss with Paddy. The players called them two characters from Sesame Street that sat up in a balcony.....
Gord will be missed, God Bless

I only regret is that I am not able to attend to celebrate the LIFE of Gord but my thoughts are with you Carol and your family even thou it has been many years. I hope your family takes solice in that Gord was a good man and good friend.
