ELLIOTT, Grace Eleanor (nee MURRISON) 1925 - 2023 Mom passed away peacefully, in her sleep, at Hyland Crest Long Term Care in Minden, Ontario, on April 7, 2023, in her 98th year. A longtime resident of Willowdale/North York, Mom was predeceased by her husband, David Elliott, in 1994; father, Arthur Murrison, 1929; mother, Elizabeth Murrison (nee Reid), 1976; and all her siblings: Angus Murrison, 1944; Margaret Green (nee Murrison), 2009; Marilyn Murrison, 1924; Arthur Murrison Patterson, 2007; and George Murrison, 2007. Mom will be sadly missed by her sons, Gordon (Lesley), Angus (Diane), Darryl; as well as Mary Elliott; and many nieces and nephews. Mom was a proud and loving grandmother to Craig, Heather (Derek), Ian (Marina), Sean (Jennifer); and five beautiful great-grandchildren. Mom lived a wonderful life, enjoying good times and laughter with friends and family (including her pets), travelling, playing the organ, reading, photography, walking as part of a group, and classical music. She especially loved her trips to England, Scotland, and the US to discover her roots and meet extended family, making lifelong friends along the way. Spending special times with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren was a great joy for her, travelling to Alberta, and PEI for some events. Mom lived for more than 75 years in the same house that she and Dad built, starting in 1947. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at Kane- Jerrett North York Funeral Home, 6191 Yonge St., Toronto, at 11:00 a.m. on May 31, 2023.
